My passion is to help you connect more fully and resourcefully with yourself, with your life, and with others. My focus is relational and I work to provide you with new resources, insights, and experiences that will strengthen your known abilities and encourage new ones. I am determined to help you find a greater freedom in your life that will allow you to be, both, more assertive and more compassionate with yourself and with others; so you deepen your relationship with your life and those you love...
This work flows from my belief that learning is a most wonderful Gift.
My Dad affectionately referred to me as a “professional student;” and
my Granny used to say,
“Learning is never a burden lad, you can carry it anywhere!”
Qualicum Beach has been my home since the early seventies and during that time worked in many schools in School District 69 as a School Counsellor and was actively involved in many innovative programs: District’s Restorative Justice Program, District’s Drug & Alcohol Review Committee, and ENITY, district’s peer education program for high school students.
Currently, I am working a privately with individuals and families.
My formal journey of learning is a meandering path: beginning with teacher training and a BA from UVic and Open Learning; a diploma in ministerial training in California; followed by a diploma in Family Therapy; and a Master’s Degree from St. Francis Xavier, integrating my counselling work with Restorative Justice.
My informal journey of learning, again a meandering path, includes training in: Mediation & Conflict Resolution; NLP; Restorative Justice; Psych-K; Emotional Freedom Techniques; Emotional Focus Couples Therapy; Holoenergetic, and Somatic training.
So, here I am…. sharing that which I am learning and have learned along the way.
